Running on a Virtual Private Server with traditional hard disk drives
The website was facing issues with page load times, especially while displaying search results, thus leading to poor user experience.
The IOPS (Total number of I/O operations per second) were slow with traditional HDDs (approx.150-200) which was leading to performance degradation.
Around 70% of the traffic was coming from mobile platforms, with increasing number of app installs, resulting in ever increasing load on the database.
