How to open Memcached 11211 port using UFW Firewall?
By default, the Bitnami Memcached port is configured to be accessible in Local host only. To open Memcached port to the open internet or only to specific IP addresses, please follow the below steps.
1. Connect to the instance/node/machine through SSH using root user credentials.
Security Risk: Making this memcached network port to the public internet is a significant security risk. It is strongly advised to open the memcached port to trusted IP addresses only.
2 (a) Execute the following command to open a port to the Internet:
ufw allow 11211
2 (b) Execute the following command to Open a port to a specific IP address
ufwallow from <IP Address> to any port 11211 proto tcp
